Jerome Mahoney lived in northern New England for over 40 years, 25 of them in Vermont. A graduate of Villanova College and the Thunderbird School of Business, he served in the U.S. Navy as an aviator. Over the years he worked for a steamship company in New York, as an editor and reporter for a daily newspaper in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as in public relations and advertising. He has worked as a bartender, photographer, and commercial pilot. He currently lives in Massachusetts (near the grandchildren) with his wife and an insufferable cat named Oliver. He is shown here with his late best buddy, a Newfoundland dog named Toby.
